10-18-26: Access the Vote: Postcard Writing Event

Sunday, October 18, 2026

In partnership with Keystone Progress Education Fund and the Pittsburgh Center for Disability Justice, we are inviting you to join us for an afternoon of community and civic participation. Together, we will write postcards and letters to our disabled neighbors living in institutions, to encourage them to vote and remind them that their voices matter—we are all part of the same community. Register today!

Even if you do not personally know somebody living in an institution, our friends at Keystone Progress Education Fund will send your postcard or letter to a disabled voter who lives in an institutional setting, like a nursing facility.

Who: Anybody and everybody, regardless of disability status!

What: Spend an afternoon writing postcards and letters to our disabled neighbors who live in institutions, encouraging them to vote and reminding them that their voices matter!

When: Sunday, October 18, 2026 from 12:30-4:00 PM

Where: Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – Squirrel Hill (Meeting Room A)
5801 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217
